High Court Judge, Justice Rachel Sikwese has donated First Aid Kit to the Blantyre and District Netball Committee (BDNC) to assist players in times of injuries during the Rainbow Paints Netball League.
The Judge handed over the kit to the Committee at the Blantyre High Court through her representative.
According to BDNC chairperson Vitumbiko Mwandemange Gubuduza, the judge made the decision to donate the kit after noticing that the Committee do not have First Aid Kit.
“You will recall that during the throw off of Rainbow Paints League, a young player fell down and Justice Sikwese who was our Guest of Honor asked about a first aid Kit from the Committee. Upon noting that we did not have the kit, My Lady Justice pledged to order the kit,” she said.
Gubuduza then thanked Justice Sikwese for her kind gesture and said the Committee will engage Malawi Red Cross Society on the possibility of training some officials on how they can use the kit during the League which is currently underway.
She said, “We are very thankful to My Lady Justice Rachel Sikwese for the timely donations and for looking out to the well being of the players in the League and Malawi Queens.”
Apart from donating to BDNS, Justice Sikwese has also bought another kit for the Malawi national netball team.
