As the search for maximum points in the TNM Super League continues, Ekwendeni Hammers have beaten Blue Eagles FC 1-nil to dislodge fellow northern region side Chitipa United on fourth position on the log table.
Captain Blessings Singini was the hero of the day as he was voted man of the match and scored the only goal of the match from a free kick in the 32nd minute.
Ekwendeni have so far accumulated 18 points, a point above Chitipa United while the Area 20 side are down to position 8 with 15 points.
