TNM Super league defending champions FCB Nyasa Big Bullets came from behind to draw 2-all against Dedza Dynamos at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Clement Nyondo scored the opener for the visitors just 12 minutes from kick-off to take his goal tally to 10 ahead of Lanjesi Nkhoma and Christopher Kumwembe who have eight goals and seven goals respectively.
Bullets responded nine minutes in the second half through McFarlane Mgwira but Dedza regained the lead in the 63rd minute through Limbani Phiri following a well taken corner kick by Chifuniro Mpinganjira.
Dynamos’ joy was short leaved as referee Alfred Kaphantengo awarded a penalty to Bullets in the 67th minute after Dynamos captain Justice Chihoma handled the ball in the box. The penalty was converted by Hassan Kajoke.
In Karonga, Chitipa United came from behind to beat Mighty Tigers 2-1 at Karonga Stadium.
Zikani Munthali put the visitors ahead in the 27th minute but Chitipa responded in the second half through Stimella Muyira who scored from the spot in the 74th minute and Rajab Nyirenda scored the winner eleven minutes later.
After the match, Chitipa captain Chris Lwemba who won the player of the month award for the month of June, was named man of the match.
In Lilongwe Civil Service United gave away a 2-nil lead to draw 2-all against Moyale Barracks at Civo Stadium.
Binwell Katinji and Chikaiko Batson were on target for the civil servants while Prince Phiri and Gasten Simkonda scored for the visitors.
Bullets remain on top in the standings with 26 points from 13 games followed by Silver Strikers who have 25 points with two games in hand.
Chitipa United are on position three with 23 points after playing 13 games, two games ahead of fourth placed Mighty Mukuru Wanderers who have accumulated 19 point from 11 games.
