Member of Parliament for Lilongwe City City Centre Alfred Jiya on Friday took time off his busy schedule to interact with people of his newly allocated constituency – Lilongwe City Centre Nankhaka.
Addressing the 29 area chairmen and their fellow executives, Jiya explained that he thought it wise to meet the committees as one way of strengthening relationships as well as briefing them on the new demarcation exercise which saw him being invited by chiefs in the area to represent them in the forthcoming general elections.
Jiya said he will continue representing the constituency despite demarcation till 2025 till elections are conducted.
In his speech, Lebiam Mbale commended Jiya for the timely gesture.
Mbale said Jiya has made tremendous developments in Lilongwe City Centre hence all the five constituencies wants him stand for them.
Mbale urged people in the newly constituted constituency to support Jiya.
