In an effort to build strong relationships among its stakeholders, Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) organized sports activities on Saturday October 9, 2023 at Lilongwe golf club.
Participants were drawn from communication as well as the telecommunication sector to take part in games including basketball, football, netball, pool as well as bawo.
Speaking on behalf of MACRA, Mary Botomani, head of Human Resource and Administration said the reason behind the event was to bring the communication sector together for them to have different games and interact socially.
“We also help with health and safety and we hope with this interaction we are going to achieve that,” Botoman said.
One of the participants from Malawi Post Corporation, Zikubwerera Washon said events like these ones strengthen relationships within the communication sector as they all work towards achieving common goals.
“I commend these activities to be of great influence as in the course of doing this, people can easily avoid being attacked by different diseases, which will also help us to save the nation in the right way,” she said.
MACRA Director General, Daud Suleman was also present at the function.
