The body of Agnes Katengeza, who was found dead and bundled in the trunk of her car on Sunday, has been laid to rest at Area 18 cemetery in Lilongwe.

Thousands of people including US Ambassador to Malawi David Young, Reserve Bank of Malawi Governor Dr. Wilson Banda and Parliamentarian Alfred Jiya were among those that paid their last respect to the let Agnes Katengeza.

Katengeza who was working at the Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) as a Network Administrator, was found dead in her vehicle KIA Sportage, on Sunday, a day after she was reported missing.

Police says they are still investigating the matter but believes that the woman was murdered as her body looked severely battered.

Born on May 13, 1979, Katengeza was a sister to MUBAS lecturer and gospel musician Estiner Katengeza who has since described her sister as the most amazing God fearing woman.

Katengeza’s death came just three days after Allan Wittika, a Sales Manager at Coca-cola Malawi was also found dead in his car in the same city of Lilongwe.
