By Chisomo Phiri

One of the Malawi’s fast-rising female singers Praise Kabula, known by her stage name Tuntu,, has released a new song titled ‘Grateful’ in which she is preaching about gratitude and the importance of one love.

When asked about the inspiration behind the song, Kabula, emphasized in an interview that many people often take the blessings in their lives for granted.

The songbird said she believes it is crucial for individuals to express gratitude for the simple fact of being alive, especially in a world where others are losing that privilege.

This sentiment is eloquently conveyed in the first verse of her song, where she sings, ‘Each and everyday I see a new door, Several people dying, Many people are weeping.’

For this reason, Kabula reinforces the message of one love and gratitude in the song’s second verse, singing, ‘Sichinthu chophweka, That we here again, Let’s show love to one another, Good vibes to, everyone, Kindness to the broken hearted.’

Despite her reputation for creating fusion music, Kabula explores the reggae genre in this particular song.
