Kalindo demands parents withdraw their children from Israel

By Vincent Gunde

Political activist Bon Elias Kalindo has asked parents, guardians and relatives whose children are in Israel as labour export to demand from government to bring back home their children claiming that most of them are regretting to have gone to that country.

Kalindo has observed that there is no way that the youth in Israel who will be receiving their salaries calculated in US Dollars could be receiving this money through their personal accounts here in Malawi calculated in Malawi Kwacha.

He said the youth’s agents in Malawi and the Government of Israel are in total disagreements over stories that they will be deducted money which they used as visas and air travels while in actual fact is that the Israeli government paid everything for the youth to be in Israel.

Speaking through an audio clip circulating in various social media platforms, Kalindo has reminded parents of the youth that the Government of Malawi received millions of Dollars from Israeli government for the claimed labour export.

Kalindo said it is sad that the youth are complaining while arrived in Israel observing that this is speaking for itself that they did not have time to read their contract agreements for their informed decision claiming that they were excited with travelling by air transport.

He described the jobs which these youth are doing in Israel as insults and mockery saying the jobs are those that people who have not gone to school here in Malawi are doing and not for graduates from colleges and universities.

“The youth are being seen slashing vegetables, picking tomatoes in farms,” said Kalindo.

He has also backed his interview with Times Television that if there was no Chilima’s policies, MCP could not have been in government today saying his remarks were not made to praise Chilima but speaking the truth and justice.

Kalindo has thanked Malawians for supporting Malawi First in the liberation of the country saying it is very strange that some activists have changed tone and are supporting the government saying this is so because their activism is bent on money.

He said without Malawi First organizing street protests, government would not listen to anyone claiming that Leader of Opposition in Parliament has not even have time to invite Malawians to patronize demonstrations but supporting government policies.
