The Bridge Afric President Victoria Okong is in the country for a workshop organized by Jacob Events scheduled for this coming Saturday March 23,2024.
Speaking on arrival at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in Lilongwe on Wednesday, Okong said the workshop will contribute towards the promotion of the country’s economy through the music sector.
“The project is giving artists the opportunity to explore and build their brands outside their country, artists should make good use of the opportunities we are bringing.”
On her part,Jacob Events Chief Executive Officer(CEO),Wendy Harawa expressed excitement saying it is time for Malawian creatives to soar.
“I am super excited and I encourage artists not to miss this opportunity,” she said.
The workshop aims at bridging the gap between Malawian artists and other artists around Africa to create more networking opportunities.
Nkong is a multilingual entertainment consultant, music business executive, events and TV producer from Nigeria.
She is also a talent manager, public speaker and PR consultant, and has been involved in events production for almost two decades.
Okong has worked in over 40 countries around the world in the entertainment sector.
