The stage is set for an electrifying showdown as Ascent Academy and Malawi Defence Force (MDF) Lionesses clash in the final of the Goshen FAM Women’s National Championship on Sunday.
Both teams have proven their mettle, with Ascent Academy securing a convincing 2-0 win over Silver Strikers Ladies and MDF Lionesses dominating Civil Service United Women 3-0 at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
Ascent Academy, last year’s runners-up, are determined to go one step further and lift the coveted trophy.
Meanwhile, MDF Lionesses are making their maiden appearance in the final and are eager to make a mark.
The winners will take home a whopping K8 million and the prestigious trophy, while the runners-up will receive K4 million.
At the moment, the excitement is palpable, and fans are eagerly anticipating a thrilling encounter between these two powerhouse teams.
