President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has assured Mangochi District Councillors that his administration will continue to fulfill all development commitments made to the people of Mangochi.
He made these remarks during a meeting with the Mangochi District Councillors at Chikoko Bay State Lodge in Mangochi.
The President pledged to maintain ongoing engagement with the Councillors, who are pivotal custodians of development and crucial in addressing urgent concerns affecting their communities.
The Mangochi District Councillors praised President Lazarus Chakwera for his unwavering support for the social and economic development of the people of the Lakeshore District.
In his remarks, the Chairperson for Mangochi District Council, Councillor Hassan Chiputa, commended President Chakwera for initiating the Mangochi-Makanjira road construction works, stating that the initiative will open up the area to neighboring Mozambique.
He further extended his appreciation to President Chakwera for constructing modern houses for security agents in the district, which he said will restore dignity and sanity in the Malawi police service.
