Former Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) Journalist Robert Kalindiza has won primary elections in Dedza Golomoti Constituency in an election that took place at Takumana Primary School on Tuesday afternoon.
Kalindiza got 941 votes followed by Madalitso Veronica Nyoni who got 653 votes. Mwazani William Banda got 166, Madalitso Lazaro 20 while Aaron Pangani Zamajaya got 17 votes.
Kalindiza worked with MBC for a number of years and he is currently working as Spokesperson in the office of the Secretary to President and Cabinet (SPC).
On Sunday, another renowned journalist Wisdom Chimgwede won primary elections in Kasungu Municipality Constituency in Kasungu district.
