Malawi National Women’s Football team ‘Scorchers’ captain Tabitha Chawinga won two awards during the Malawi Sports Awards organised by Malawi National Council of Sports at Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi on Friday evening.
The 28-year-old who plays for Olympique Lyonnais FĂ©minin in France, won the Sports Woman of the Year and Sports Personality of the Year awards.

Other winners include bodybuilder Zarcheus Phiri who won Sports Man of the Year award and Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) President, Mayamiko Gubuduza who won the Best Sports Administrator award.
