Organizers of the Northern Region Super League Bonanza have announced that this year’s tournament will take place from March 21st to March 23 at the Rumphi Stadium.
Speaking at a press briefing held in Mzuzu on Wednesday,Vice Chairperson of the tournament’s organizing committee, Paul Tembo,revealed that this year’s bonanza will feature an impressive lineup of top teams from the Northern Region, including Moyale Barracks, Karonga United, Chitipa United, Mzuzu City Hammers, and newly promoted Songwe Border United.
“Our primary goal is to ensure that no team from our region faces relegation at the end of the season.Instead, we aim to increase the number of teams participating in the elite league,” said Tembo.
He explained that the competition promises to be thrilling, with prizes awarded to the winner, runner-up, and third-placed team.
“Individual accolades will be presented to the top goal scorer and the most outstanding player,” he said.
The Northern Region Super League Bonanza which is held annually helps the elite league teams in the Northern Region to fine-tune in readiness for the kickoff of the TNM Super League.
