South Korea-based Malawian Bertha Chiudza honored as global power leader

South Korea-based Malawian,Bertha Wakisa Chiudza,has been recognized as a Global Power Leader, 2025, under the category of Exemplary Woman Leader of the Year.

The prestigious award was conferred by White Page International during the Global Business Conclave, 2025, at the House of Lords, UK Parliament.

In an interview with 247 Malawi News,Chiudza, who works with the Green Climate Fund (GCF) at its headquarters in South Korea said she was among over 5,000 nominees from across the globe.

She said she was selected as one of the 100 leaders from over 30 countries to receive the award.

Said Chiudza:”The award recognizes leaders who make a difference in various fields, including business, leadership, and sustainable contributions.”

The woman expressed her gratitude to God and acknowledged the significance of hard work, discipline, and sacrifice in achieving success.

As a leader,  Chiudza emphasized the importance of continuous learning and responsibility.

She encouraged others to strive for excellence and make a positive difference in their communities.

The award ceremony was attended by over 120 distinguished delegates representing 30+ nations, including notable VIPs such as Councillor Naima Ali, Mayor of Southwark, London, and Lord Meghnad Desai.

Chiudza’s achievement is a testament to her dedication and commitment to making a positive impact.

She has been receiving numerous other awards and recognition for her work, including the Global 200 Women Power Leaders 2024, Southern African Change Catalysts Award, and DIHAD Glasshouse top 5 finalist and winner.

Chiudza holds multiple academic degrees, including a BA in Biblical Studies (Education) from African Bible College, Malawi, and master’s degrees in International Development, Gender and Education, and Sustainable Humanitarian Action from the University College of London and DIHAD Humanitarian College and UCAM University, Spain.

She is currently pursuing an Executive MBA with Quantic School of Business and Technology.

In addition to her formal work, Chiudza has also served on international boards, facilitated fundraisers for underserved communities, and supported young entrepreneurs in Africa, Asia Pacific, and the Caribbean.
