President Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera has assented to three bills that were passed during the 4th Meeting of Parliament held in November/December, 2021.
Speaker of the National Assembly, Right Honourable Catherine Gotani Hara, MP made the announcement in the Chamber today.
The Acts that were assented to were published in the Gazette of 4th February, 2022 effectively making them laws of this country.
The three Acts are as follows:
i) Act No. 1 of 2022: Political Parties (Amendment)
ii) Act No. 2 of 2022: International Development Association (Malawi Education Reform Programme Project) Loan (Authorization)
iii) Act No. 3 of 2022: International Development Association (Additional Financing for the Southern Africa Trade and Transport Facilitation (Phase 2 Project) Loan (Authorization).
