Bullets Wins Charity Shield As Hadgi Wali Punishes His Former Team

By Staff Reporter

Defender Hadgi Wali scored a debut goal as Nyasa Big Bullets beat Silver Strikers to win the 2022 NBS Charity Shield

Bullets scored the only goal of the match in the 36th minute when the youthful defender headed in powerfully from a well taken corner by Patrick Mwaungulu.

After the game, Bullets Coach Kalisto Pasuwa applauded his boys for the fighting spirit while Silver’s vice coach MacDonald Yobe took the loss as a wakeup call for them ahead of the kick off of the 2022 season.

The win means the People’s Team has defended the Charity Shield for the fifth time in a row since 2016.

In a friendly match played on Saturday, two goals from Stanley Sanudi and one from Vincent Nyangulu gave Mighty Wanderers a 3-1 victory against Kamuzu Barracks.

The Lilongwe-based soldiers pulled one back through Matius Nyirenda.
