Renowned gospel music group Great Angels Choir has announced that it will perform at Kell Kay’s album launch at Lilongwe Golf Club on May 22.

The Lilongwe-based group’s music director Ephraim Zonda confirmed the development to 247 Malawi saying they have decided to perform at the launch to show Malawians that there no enmity between gospel artists and secular artists.

“Many people think gospel musicians are not supposed to be interacting or sharing stages with secular artists. This should not be the case because we are all muscians and we are supposed to be supporting one another,” he said.

He further said that the group has requested Kell Kay to be on the list of artist to perform at the launch.

He said, “We have requested Kell Kay to consider giving us space on that day from 16:30 hrs to 17:30hrs. We are going to perform there for free as one was of showing support to our brother.”

On his part, Kell Kay-real name Kelvin Kambwiri thanked Great Angels Choir for the support saying this is a big morale booster as he prepares for the big day.

“There is no way I can say no to Great Angels Choir. They’re one on the best and biggest music groups in the country and I feel humbled and honored to have them on my list as one of the performers at my album launch,” he said.

Yesterday Kell Kay announced that he will release his brand new album titled ‘Ndabwera Ndi Nkhani’ on May 22.
