Rev Nyondo presents letters of credence to Brazilian President Bolsonaro

The Former general secretary of Livingstonia Synod who is now Malawi Ambassador to Brazil Rev. Dr. Levi Nyondo has finally presented his official letters of credence to Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro. The ceremony took place on Tuesday

Reverend Levi Nyondo was confirmed as Ambassador to Brazil after replacing Chris Chaima Banda, former Strategic Advisor to President Lazarus Chakwera, who turned down the appointment.

The Malawi Embassy in Brasilia was established in July 2010. Since then, both countries have enriched and maintained their relations in the diplomatic, commercial and technical cooperation fields.

According to the embassy website. “As Malawi seeks to play its role in strengthening South-South Cooperation, Brazil is seen as a very important partner”.

In addition to diplomatic representation to Brazil, the Embassy in Brasilia also represents Malawi, along with Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica.
