Sable Farming FC have become the latest team to be relegated from the TNM Super League following their 2-1 loss at the hands of Silver Strikers at Champion Stadium in Dowa on Sunday.
Silver were the first to score through man of the match Chikondi Kamanga in the 21st minute but Sable equalised 14 minutes later through Mike Tete.
Mark Fodya scored the winning goal for the central bankers in the 60th minute to seal the fate for the Chiradzulu outfit.
With one game to wind up the season, Sable are on position 14 with 24 points, which means even if they win their last game they will not surpass their relegation rivals Red Lions who are on 13th position with 28 points.
The Chiradzulu based side has now joined Rumphi United and TN Stars that have also exited the elite league.
This means that one team from each of the country’s three regions has been relegated this season.
