Haiya, Somba to battle it for SULOM presidency

It has been finally confirmed that the incumbent Super League of Malawi( SULOM) President Tiya Somba Banda and Nyasa Big Bullets Vice President Fleetwood Haiya have been nominated to battle it up for the SULOM Presidency elections slatted to be held in Mangochi on February 25,2023.

This follows a publication by Crowe J & W, retaining Auditors which has been receiving the nominations.

According to the list that has been signed by the firm’s Audit Manager Chifundo Makande, on Presidency, there are two candidates to compete, Haiya and Banda.

On Vice Presidency, there are also two; the incumbent Gilbert Mitawa and David Kanyenda while on General Secretary post Williams Banda will tussle with Thokozani Chimbali.



On post of Vice General Secretary for SULOM there are three people to compete, namely; Major Denis Flao Mwale, Donnex Chilonga and David Kanyenda.

Meanwhile, 9 will compete on the post of the executive member, namely; Charles Manyungwa, Chimwemwe Nyirenda, Henry Banda, Akudzike Kafwamba, Daudi Mtanthiko, William Nhlane, Godfrey Makawano, Mavuto Missi and Ronald Chiwaula

Allie Mwachande and Solomoni Mchawi will go unopposed on posts of Treasurer and Legal Advisor respectively.

For long now, Somba and Haiya have been seen sharing their manifestos for the SULOM presidency.
