The ruling party,Malawi Congress Party (MCP) says it is saddened with the resignation of its National Publicity Secretary Reverend Maurice Munthali who was also Presidential Advisor on Peace, Reconciliation and National Unity.
Munthali announced resigning from his both positions yesterday citing governance issues and corruption under Tonse Alliance administration.
In a statement signed by the Acting Pulicity Secretary, Ezekiel Peter Ching’oma,the party describes Munthali as an asset to MCP team who has made a positive contribution to it.
Reads part of the statement ” Munthali has been asset to our team, and we are grateful for the contributions he has made over the years.”
The party has however, asked Munthali to help in the fight against corruption in the country by bringing forward any evidence of alleged corruption to relevant institutions.
