Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) President, Right Honorable Enoch Kamzingeni Chihana, met with Muslim leaders from the At-tareeqatul Quadiriyyah Sunni Association and representatives from 182 mosques in the district. This meeting provided a platform for President Chihana to engage with Muslim leaders and discuss pressing issues affecting the district.
President Chihana’s commitment to inclusivity was further demonstrated as he proceeded to meet with traditional leaders from Rumphi, including senior chiefs and village headmen. This meeting aimed to discuss development initiatives, listen to their concerns, and outline AFORD’s vision for the district. By engaging with both Muslim leaders and traditional leaders, President Chihana has shown his dedication to working with all stakeholders to promote development and unity in Rumphi District.
As part of his visit, President Chihana is expected to address a mega rally at Rumphi Boma, where he will outline his party’s manifesto and vision for Malawi’s future. This rally is anticipated to be a significant event, as President Chihana will share his plans for the country’s development and growth.
President Chihana’s recent activities have showcased his confidence in winning the upcoming presidential elections. In a rally in Rumphi, he outlined AFORD’s focus on developing key sectors like agriculture, education, and health once in power.
