The much awaited time has finally come for the people of Blantyre as musician Driemo will be launching his studio album ‘Mzaliwa’ at Comesa Hall this Saturday, August 12.
Speaking in an interview, the ‘Popo’ hit maker says preparations for the launch are almost through and that people should patronize the event to witness one of the best music shows this year.
Some of the artists expected to perform during the launch include Eli Njuchi, Zeze Kingston, Piksy, Leslie, Merchah, Saint, Kell Kay and Skeffa Chimoto.
The album ‘Mzaliwa’ which has been produced by Fat Nyanda, Taktic and Mystery has 22 tracks.
Surprisingly, Driemo who has never featured other musicians in his songs, has featured a number of artists this time around.
Out of the 22 songs, 10 are collaborations and out of the 10 collaborations, eight are Zambian artists and two are from Malawi and Zimbabwe.
The artists include; Yo Maps, Chile One, Neo Slayer,Haven Kopala Queen, F Jay, Dzimo ,T Sean and Wezi from Zambia, Nutty O from Zimbabwe and Skeffa Chimoto from the home soil.
