Friends, family and followers on Tuesday will gather at Cape Maclear Primary School Ground in Mangochi for a memorial show of hip-hop artist Martin Nkhata who was fondly known as Martse.
Martse – a Malawi Hip-hop Hall of Fame artist died at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital on May 23 last year, at the age of 28.
According to the organizers of the event, ‘Martse Foundation’, the show will start from 1pm to 6pm and among others, it will feature performances by Evanz Muzik, Nepman, Wikise, Krazie G, Hyphen, Provoice , Waxy Kay, Crispy Malawi, and Fly P
Prior to the show, the Martse Foundation will deliver desks at Cape McLear Primary School to fulfill Martse’s promise to the school which he made days before his death.
The Mwano hit-maker succumbed to fire burns which he sustained in a house fire at Cape Maclear in Mangochi and was laid to rest on May 25 in Lilongwe.
