As the nation is coming to grips with the shocking murder for Alinafe Bionongwe, the Vocal Officer In charge for Malawi Revenue Authority at Dedza Border. Police have made several arrests. Bonongwe who fought against smuggling and tax evasion in the district was found dead in his house
Police have so far detained a security guard, house servant and ground labourer who were working at Alinafe Bonongwe’s house.According to a press statement by Malawi Police Service (MPS) signed by its spokesperson James Kadadzera, the three have been detained for questioning.
The body of the late Bonongwe is Meanwhile going through autopsy which is being done by Dr Charles Dzamalala is conducting an autopsy.
.Alinafe Bonongwe was found dead at his house in Dedza Friday night.
Bonongwe was found with a rope on his neck in the bathroom but police are investigating.Bonongwe came into prominence when he single handily fought goods smugglers and tax evaders in the district.There are conflicting reports on his death, with some saying he committed suicide while others said he might have been killed.
