Veteran freedom fighter who is also Rumphi East Constituency legislator Kamlepo Kalua, has claimed that he has escaped an assassination attempt as unknown people followed to kill him but he disappeared out of their sight.
Kalua said he is a Member of Parliament (MP), he respects all but the situation the country has reached is very worrisome that many people will not vote in 2025 wishing that all to take part in the voting processes but the situation on the ground remain hostile.
Speaking through an audio clip circulating in various social media platforms, Kalua has warned all those hired to take his life not to live in an environment of building castles in the air, saying their money and property will rot with nobody to take care of it.
He has sent a strong warning to his assassins that never and ever to touch his son Penjani Kalua (Fredokiss) advising them to do to this to him to accomplish their mission saying cabinet ministers have children and relatives, people know where they are and will be targeted for revenge.
“Never and ever touch my son Fredokiss, do it to me as you have already started hunting for me to shoot me, I have escaped death by chance, it wasn’t my day of being killed, and I don’t know if I will be alive tomorrow,” said Kalua.
