Blue Eagles FC midfielder Stuart Mbunge has announced his retirement from active football at the age of 27.

Mbunge says he has made the decision following a drop in form in the recent games.

He said, “I would like to announce my retirement from active football effective today 13th December, 2022.

I have made this decision looking at my current form; It seems my body is now exhausted hence the retirement.”

He has since thanked the club’s management, technical panel, fans and his fellow players for the support they offered during his time at the club.

Mbunge who has played for the Area 30 side for over 9-years, says he will be available to offer other services at the club if needed.

Stuart Mbunge who is a police officer, made headlines in 2018 when came in as a substitute to score a winning goal for Blue Eagles against Nyasa Big Bullets and win the prestigious Airtel Top 8 trophy for the police side.
