Blue Eagles FC has returned to the TNM Super League after beating the Armour battalion by four goals to one.
The Blues have secured the promotion following being crowned Chipiku Central Region Premier League title holders.
The Police outfit were relegated in the 2023 season but have made a triumphant comeback.
The Area 30 boys opened the scoreline with a beautiful goal from Lanken Mwale after receiving a cross from Laurent Banda in the 3rd minute.
Armour Battalion secured a penalty to level the playing field after Sankhani Mkandawire made a foul in the 18 yard box in the 22nd minute of play.
Blue Eagles fighting spirit saw them bounce back in the 26th minute when Maxwell Gustavo scored after goal keeper punched a shot from Laurent Banda.
There was some contention over this goal as the technical panel for Armour was against the decision to award the Eagles a goal, however the referee awarded the goal to Blue Eagles.
It was goals galore for Blue Eagles as Paul Master scored a third despite the surface being too slippery.
The nail in the coffin came in the 82nd minute as Checkson Alinzi scored from a rebound for the Blues to cement victory.
Blue Eagles end the season on a high, securing promotion and winning the FDH Bank Cup after beating FCB Nyasa Big Bullets through post match penalties.
