Dedza Young Soccer overcame Blue Eagles 5-4 on penalties at Nankhaka Stadium on Sunday to reach the FDH cup quarter-finals as Bullets breezed through by beating Tigers FC 2-0 at Kamuzu Stadium.
Blue Eagles scored 4 minutes into the game through captain Micium Mhone before Dedza Young equalised some minutes later through Felix Msowoya.
The match went into sudden death after it ended 1-all in regulation time.
At the Kamuzu Stadium, goals from Lanjesi Nkhoma and MacFallen Mgwira were enough to take Nyasa Big Bullets to the quarter-finals as the People’s team beat Tigers FC 2-0.
In the TNM Super League, Ekwendeni Hammers were hammered 3-0 by Red Lions who were humiliated by Rumphi United in the FDH Cup on Saturday.
