Bullets thrash Kumanda AS 22-1 in Castel Cup as Creck Sporting relied on penalty shootout to beat Ergo FC 3-1

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets recorded their biggest victory this year by crushing Kumanda  AS 22-1 at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday afternoon, to book themselves a place in the round of 32 of the Castle Cup.

Chawanangwa Gumbo notched 8 goals, Precious Phiri and Stanley Billiati scored six goals and four goals respectively while Chikumbutso Salima claimed a brace.

There were also goals from Ronald Chitiyo and Ephraim Kondowe while Andrew Kaipa scored Kumanda AS’s consolation.

It was 11- 1 at half time



In other Castel Cup Round of 64 matches, Creck Sporting relied on post-match penalties to defeat Ergo FC 3-1 after the match which took place at Aubrey Dimba Stadium, ended 0-0 in regulation time.

In Lilongwe, Kamuzu Barracks smashed Mikundi FC 5-1 at Civo Stadium while Karonga United thumped Chipolopolo FC 3-nil at Karonga Stadium.

The match between Lube Masters and Chitipa United which took place at Mzuzu Stadium, ended 3-1 in favour of Chitipa.

Malawi Defence Force side Changalume Barracks were 2-nil winners over Immigration FC while MMF Marine defeated The Boyz 1-nil courtesy of Isaac Kondowe’s 56th minute goal.

Ntchisi Tigers beat Bilira United 1-nil while Kameme United beat Bolero Medicals 5-4 on post-match penalties after the match ended goalless in regulation time.
