The leader of ECG Jesus Nation Church Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has on Monday January 30,2023 paid tuition fees totalling to K26 million for 65 students from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) who were almost barred from writing their end of year examination
Addressing journalists after the donation at LUANAR Bunda campus , Bushiri said his gesture is a response to an emergency call from college officials who called him on Friday asking him to intervene.
“I was so touched with the call and I had to come in.
” As a citizen, I could not ignore such a call. No student should fail to write examinations because of unsettled fees,” he said.
In his remarks, Vice-chancellor for LUANAR professor Emmanuel Kaunda expressed gratitude for the timely support saying others need to emulate the good example.
” This is a timely intervention and we urge other well wishers to emulate what Bushiri has done,” Kaunda.
On Monday last week, Bushiri also donated K4 million to Student Christian of Malawi (SCOM) and United Christian Congregation (UCC) towards their project to purchase evangelism equipment.
As the man of God, he has been seen helping a lot of people in the country and outside.
