The food relief distribution initiative by prophet Shepherd Bushiri in the country has so far reached to over a half million beneficiaries since it started last month.
This is according to Bushiri’s spokesperson Aubrey Kusakala.
Kusakala says so far, the initiative has covered 11 districts with Nkhotakota residents among the latest beneficiaries.
He adds that they have intensified the distribution stating that this week they have dispatched 12 trucks across the country.
“The food distribution initiative seeks to cushion one million people amid hunger which is haunting the country.
“Some of the districts that have benefited are Zomba, Nkhatabay, Rumphi Lilongwe, Nsanje , Thyolo, Mulanje, Ntcheu, Karonga and Mangochi,” says Kusakala.
Bushiri has been involved in many charitable works around the world, including Malawi, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Botswana, and South Africa.
The man of God formed a humanitarian organization called “Shepherd Bushiri Foundation” with Duncan Zgambo as the CEO,where he provides for the needy and less privileged.
He provides charitable donations, including livelihood support; educational support for orphans; humanitarian relief through food subsidies.
