Center For Sports,Culture and Arts(CESCA) on Saturday June 11,2022 supported Deft Poetry Festival with MK 2,000,000.
The presentation took place at a press briefing which was organised by Deft Media Malawi at Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre.
In his remarks, Director of CESCA Kennedy Chitsundi said the support rendered was a symbol of their organisation comprehending and promoting Arts and Culture in Malawi.
The chairperson for the organisation Caleb Thole sard art has power of contributing to the social and economic development of Malawi.
Thole said it is Art and culture that can sell Malawi on the international market and contribute alot to tourism attraction.
He then advised upcoming poets in the country to take this chance seriously for their growth in the poetry space.
Sales and Marketing Manager for Amaryllis Hotel Khaira Sutter announced the hotel as the official partner and host of the event this year .
she said the hotel’s commitment to the Deft poetry Festival and Arts industry is still kept strong.
Rodwell Lumbe ,The Managing director for Deft Media Malawi appreciated CESCA for their gesture.
He disclosed that this year’s festival will run smoothly because of the money rendered.
Lumbe proceeded by calling on the corporate world to open its doors and support poetry through the Deft Poetry FESTIVAL.
This year’s Deft Poetry Festival will take place at Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre on July 30.
