Chakwera advises public officers to use power cautiously

President Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera has appealed to all the three arms of government to use power cautiously for the benefit of Malawians that they serve.

The Malawi leader was speaking at the closing ceremony of a two – day National Conference on Separation of Powers in Lilongwe on Tuesday 13th June, 2023.

In his closing remarks, Chakwera reminded the gathering that all powers office bearers hold are for service to Malawians and as such it must be used with humility consideration, wisdom, courage, caution and vision for the good of Malawi.

Chakwera appealed to all public office holders to continue adhering to the constitutional imperative of independence and accountability if Malawi is to realize desired national development in line with the Malawi Vision 2063 Agenda.

The president expressed gratefulness to the two arms of government for the solidarity that has allowed the conference to take place in the successful manner it did.
