President Dr.Lazarus Chakwera has congratulated the US President-elect Donald Trump for winning the US election.
In his message, Chakwera says he is looking forward to working with Trump’s administration.
“We celebrate the smooth and peaceful democratic process that the United States has modelled for the free world, and I look forward to working together with your Administration in strengthening the ties between our nations, building on six decades of bilateral relations that have gone from strength to strength over the years.
” As such, Malawi stands ready to join you in advancing the values we share in common for the prosperity of our peoples. I wish you utmost success in uniting and leading America and its people towards the golden era you have envisioned. God bless you, Mr. President”
The election was held on Tuesday, 5 November 2024.
