President Lazarus Chakwera has emphasized the importance of a morally-upright labor force if the country is to achieve its aspirations.
Chakwera was speaking at Mzuzu Auction Floors on Friday where he was presiding over the 16th congregation of the University of Livingstonia.
At the ceremony, the President also acknowledged the University’s adoption of the national drive for development, as well as its complementing shorter-term blueprints.
The Malawi leader pledged his administration’s support for graduates from both public and private universities through various government initiatives.
” My administration pledges to support graduates from both public and private universities through the many government initiatives in place, “said Chakwera.
He concluded his long speech by congratulating all UNILIA graduates, urging them to use their education to contribute to the nation’s development.
The graduation saw 817 graduands from all the four university’s campuses graduating.
The University of Livingstonia has been operational for two decades and has aligned its programs with the Malawi2063.
