President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera on Friday had the privilege of hosting and interacting with 12-year old Alinafe Chulu, the national top performer girl in the 2023 Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) exams at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe.
Writing on his facebook page, Chakwera said Alinafe’s feat is historic for many reasons.
Said Chakwera:”It primarily teaches us all about the fundamental life values of hard work and commitment to every undertaking we venture into.”
The Malawi leader said , Alinafe has inspired every girl child in the country to believe in a world of possibilities in which they can achieve anything they desire to be through grit.
The president concluded by promising that in his capacities as HeForShe Champion and Malawi President,he will ensure that all education and social systems are syncing aspirations of both the girl and boy child with the country’s national development agenda.
Alinafe from Playdor Private school in Blantyre was announced the most outstanding learner of the 2022/2023 PSLCE examination after scoring an aggregate of 449 marks.
The girl who aspires to become a doctor, is also the only female learner on the top 10 list released by the ministry of education through Malawi National Examination Board (MANEB).
