President Dr Lazarus Chakwera on Thursday launched the 2022 Malawi Red Cross Society (MRCS) Flag Week at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe.
The President, who is MRCS Patron, led the nation in contributing towards the Flag Week by making a donation of K2 million.
He, therefore, appealed to Malawians to donate towards the cause whilst calling for a revolution of kindness in every place.
The Flag Week follows commemoration of the World Red Crescent Day which falls on May 8 every year. The day celebrates the dedication, compassion, courage and impact of millions of volunteers who offer support, care and life saving services to people in their communities.
