Chakwera pardons 200 inmates, Uladi Mussa, John Mussa included on the list

As part of Easter celebration,President Lazarus Chakwera has today pardoned 200 prisoners including former homeland security minister Uladi Mussa.

The President is also said to have pardoned a 19-year-old Mussa John who was convicted for being found in possession of Indian Hemp, locally known as Chamba.

Uladi Mussa, now free



All 200 pardoned inmates are those with minor cases.

Uladi Mussa was in 2020 handed a five year jail term over his role in a passport scam.

He was convicted of helping foreign nationals acquire citizenship fraudulently.
