Mighty Mukuru Wanderers center-back Lawrence Chaziya on Thursday said goodbye to teammates and staff as he is expected to leave the country to start playing for TP Mazembe in DRC.
He will soon to be on a flight to DRC where he is expected to go through a medical before signing for Mazembe alongside Nyasa Big Bullets duo of Patrick Mwaungulu and Lanjesi Nkhoma.
Chaziya joined the Lali Luban side in January last year after being released by Jordanian Pro League side Al Hussein Irbid SC after the expiry of his 10-month contract.
Before going to Jordan, Chaziya who also plays for the Malawi national football team ‘The Flames’ played for Civo Service United until 2022.
Chaziya who will turn 26 next month, was part of the Malawi squad at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
