Member of parliament for Zomba Changalume Biswick Million has lamented that the late United Transformation Party (UTM) president Saulos Klaus Chilima advised the party legislators not move to the opposition side after his allegations of the corruption issue.
Million made this sentiment in an interview with 247 Malawi News on Friday at Parliament building.
He said during the late Vice president a on corruption case , the UTM legislators proposed to move from the opposition side but SKC insisted that no one is moving from the government side to opposition because they all made the current government.
He said: ” I’m sticking to my decision because of what SKC advised us that we should not move from the government to the opposition side, so now just because he is departed, why should we move ?.
Biswick went on to say , Michael Usi is the vice president and that if he is still in government then who is he to move to opposition side.
Million further said he thinks it is wise that he should stick with the vice president because of the instruction from the party late president.
The nine UTM members of parliament dumped the government to the opposition side on Tuesday after the party exited the Tonse Alliance led government few months ago.
