Former Nyasa Big Bullets FC midfielder Chimwemwe Idana has joined Tanzanian side, Mbeya City Council FC on a free transfer after parting ways with the people’s team in January.
According to information from the club, the player has signed a one and a half year long contract.
Former Malawi Football National Team, the Flames notable player Esau Kamwendo has congratulated Idana for his new opportunity and urged him to continue working hard.
“Wishing you all the best, time to face the new challenge.”
Idana was the 2021 TNM Super League player of the season while playing for Bullets.
He had no team after leaving Bullets at the end of his contract in January this year.
The player tried his luck at South African club Sekhukune United but the deal did not materialise as the club’s foreign quota was full.
