Former FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Zimbabwean defender Collins Mujuru has bid farewell to the People’s team in a statement posted on his Facebook page.
In the statement, Mujuru said it was an honour playing for Bullets which he described as a prestigious club.
“As I close an incredible chapter in my football journey, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club and the amazing people of Malawi.
My time with the club has been nothing short of extraordinary. Playing for such a prestigious team allowed me to grow as a player and compete at the highest level, including African football—a dream come true,” reads the statement in part.
Mujuru further said that he will forever cherish the moments he has been at the club and he has since thanked the club’s management, coaches, teammates,staff and fans for the support they showed him.
“Thank you for believing in me, for pushing me to be my best, and for creating an environment that felt like home. To the incredible Nyasa Big Bullets fans: your energy and unwavering support made every game unforgettable. Malawi truly feels like a second home to me because of you,” reads the statement.
The 26-year-old-centre-back signed for Bullets in March last year but he returned to Zimbabwe early this year where he has signed a one-year deal with Zimbawe’s Premier League side Green Fuel Club.
Other players who are reported to have left the People’s team include Precious Sambani, Precious Phiri, Gomezani Chirwa, Nickson Nyasulu and another Zimbabwean player Ronald Chitiyo.
