The commission of inquiry into the aircraft accident that claimed the lives of Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima and eight others has announced that it has completed the initial two phases of its investigation conducted in the Northern and Eastern regions.
In a statement signed by its Chairperson Justice Jabbar Alide, the commission reports that it had engaged with both the general public and officials from various institutions.
However, the commission has expressed concern that the response from the public to their call for information has been poor, with only one person voluntarily coming forward.
Meanwhile, the commission has reiterated its call for information from the public regarding the plane crash.
President Lazarus Chakwera appointed the commission of inquiry last month amid growing demands from various sectors of society to determine the cause of the plane crash.
