Creck Sporting knocked out of the FDH Cup
As Blue Eagle, Moyale, Lube Masters progress to the quarterfinals

Just two days after suspending their Head Coach McDonald Mtetemera, Creck Sporting Football Club have been booted out of the FDH Cup following their 1-nil loss to fellow Super League side Baka City at Karonga Stadium on Saturday.

Lupakisho Mwakazingo scored the only goal of the match from a rebound in the 73rd minute after an earlier attempt by Geoffrey Mwakyembe hit the cross bar.

This was the first game for Creck Sporting’s interim coach Joseph Kamwendo who is expected to face yet another daunting task in the TNM Super League as his team play Kamuzu Barracks at Aubrey Dimba Stadium in Mchinji on Wednesday.

In another round of 16 match played on Saturday, Blue Eagles FC beat Santhe Admarc 4-2 on post-match penalties at Nankhaka Stadium after the match ended goalless in the regulation time.

Elsewhere, there were also penalty shootouts in Mzuzu as Lube Masters beat Raiply FC 5-4 on penalties. The match ended 1-all in regulation time.

Moyale Barracks thumped their fellow soldiers MMF Marine 4-1 to book themselves a place in the FDH Cup quarterfinals.

Emmanuel Allan scored a hat-trick and Luke Chima with the other goal while Montfort Khamula scored a consolation for the Monkeybay-based soldiers.

On Sunday, Mighty Tigers will take on Civil Service United at Mpira Stadium as Iponga FC hosts MAFCO FC at Karonga Stadium.

On Saturday July 27, Karonga United will host Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos and the big one on will be on Sunday July 28, between city-rivals Mighty Mukuru Wanderers and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.
