Cyclone finds God, changes name to Levi

Hip Hop artist Cyclone has changed his name to the moniker Levi following his new found faith in God.

Levi, a former member of the Lilongwe based Hip Hop outfit Pittie Boyz with other rappers like L.i, Gwamba, and EmmQ has also changed from secular music to Gospel Hip Hop.

“I changed my name because I’m a new creation now. There’s nothing wrong with Cyclone as a name, but that represents the old me. Levi is my real name, and being called by it feels great.”

He explained that after years of searching for true purpose he wants to preach the word of God through music.

“I’m in God’s hands now, and I believe I’ll do my best to spread His message until it reaches the right people,” he said.

Currently, Levi has a 10 track albuk titled ‘Purpose’

The title track ‘Purpose’ highlights the challenges one faces after accepting Christ, encouraging persists in the spiritual journey.

His latest release ‘Glory’ is a reggae track that glorifies the power of Jesus Christ.
