Silver Strikers head coach Pieter de Jongh who is in Kenya has told local media that he has written the club demanding over K500 million in compensation for constructive dismissal.
Among other things, the outspoken Dutch coach is accusing the Central Bankers of failing to pay for his medical insurance for a year.
De Jongh told Nation Online: “They have also not paid for my apartment and vehicle insurance for three months.
“Tell me, how is that possible? So, I have given them two weeks to address all that and the issue is being handled by my lawyers.”
De Jongh has since refuted reports that he has resigned as Silver head coach.
” I am still the head coach. I love my players, fellow technical staff and the fans, but it is the board that has been very unfair to me,” he said.
Silver Strikers Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Patrick Chimimba has also told the local media that De Jongh is still the club’s head coach and they have not received any resignation letter from him.
De Jongh joined Silver in February last year and did not win any trophy in his first season at the club.
