The race for the 2023 Rainbow Paints Blantyre and District Netball League reached the climax this Saturday as Kukoma Diamonds faced their traditional rivals First Choice Tigresses in a potentially explosive encounter at the Blantyre Youth Center.
Both sides have made a promising start to the season after winning all their first five matches.
Diamonds who are the defending champions, are top on the log table with ten points while Tigresses are fourth with the same number of points but the former have a superior goal difference.
The two teams were not in action in the past two weeks as they contributed more players to Malawi Queens who have been in camp preparing for the netball World Cup scheduled to take place in South Africa next month.
In an early kick-off, 9th placed Chileka Sisters will play 7th placed Shizaella Queens while MUBAS who are perched on position eight will play Gerald Tasaukadala who are anchoring the log table.
Another match will be between 10th placed Chilomoni Sisters and 2nd placed Prison Queens at 12 noon which will be followed by yet another big game between Blantyre Tremors and Airforce Sisters who are on position six and five respectively.
