A renowned social media influencer in the country Dorothy Shonga popularly known as Cash Madam has told people to stop calling her a Cash Madam claiming that the name was not given to her by birth.
Writing on her official Facebook page on Saturday, Shonga said the name was given to her the time she was staying in Uganda and now she has thought that the name is not worth to be used anymore.
” The general public is advised that I, Dorothy Shonga cease to be called/ addressed as Cash Madam with immediate effect. The Cash Madam name birthed in Uganda following my PSR activities that benefited the needy in a unique way.
I am not a giver because I have plentiful but a heart that is rooted on caring for those who do not have . The name change will not by any means affect my passion for giving but shift to a more robust platform, ” she said.
Shonga added that the name change is a personal and timely decision that is in line with her personal future and business development goals. She said, this will create a space for an effective platform to share her time, finances and skills with the needy in the space of Personal Social Responsibility ( PSR) through a foundation she is planning to register and launch soon.
Apart from being a social media influencer, Shonga is also an award winning business woman. She awarded the STARQT best dressed woman of the year 2019 in South Africa. She is also a founder and Managing Director of D.C Brand Cloud, a branding and marketing company based in Lilongwe.
